As a translation specialist, Gaby feels special pride in crafting messaging that is clear and reflective of the precise original tone and language used. Many years in the newsroom have made her especially aware of the importance of meeting tight deadlines without compromise. In the last nine years, she has concentrated her work in the translation of environmental issues, which has expanded her personal interest in the environmental movement and clean energies.

Gaby is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Journalism and Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico, with a degree in ESL and Spanish instruction.

EVE VANAGAS

Intern

Eve is a fourth-year student at the University of Florida, where she is majoring in Political Science and Economics, with a certification in International Relations. She is graduating in spring 2022 and plans to spend her summer road-tripping or traveling abroad before (hopefully) attending graduate school for Urban Planning in the fall of 2022.

Before coming to ALRAS Digital, Eve spent many election cycles working on grassroots campaigns to elect progressive candidates at the state, local and federal levels. After getting her master’s degree, she hopes to join the Peace Corps and work in the economic development sector, before eventually working with an organization such as the UN or USAID in International Community Development.

In her free time, you can find her running, at the gym, hiking, reading or shamelessly scrolling through TikTok. Fun fact: she car camped in 10 National Parks last summer!
